National Guard Youth Foundation teams up with Rotohog.com for fantasy football promotion

By National Guard Bureau

Alexandria, VA - The National Guard Youth Foundation (NGYF) has teamed up with the fantasy sports Web site, Rotohog.com, to create a National Guard branded fantasy football game.

For each user who signs up, Rotohog.com will donate $1 to the National Guard Youth Foundation. The game can be found at www.rotohog.com/ngyf.

"We are excited to be able to partner with the National Guard Youth Foundation on this project," said Kelly Perdew, the chief executive officer of Rotohog.com. "I have seen first-hand the tremendous success the foundation has had in turning around the lives of America's at-risk kids."

Perdew, a West Point graduate and Army veteran, was the winner of Donald Trump's Apprentice II on NBC and currently serves as the NGYF celebrity spokesperson.

The National Guard Youth Foundation supports the National Guard Youth Challenge Program, a 17-month, co-ed program for 16- to 18-year-old high school dropouts that offers them the opportunity to enhance their life skills, earn their GED, pursue higher education, improve their employment potential and broaden their chances at success.

Since being founded in 1993, the Youth Challenge Program has grown to 33 programs in 27 states and Puerto Rico has graduated over 81,100 former high school dropouts.

"Partnering with Rotohog.com is a great opportunity that will allow the Youth Challenge program to reach more at-risk youth," said Lt. Gen. (ret) John B. Conaway of the National Guard Youth Foundation and former chief of the National Guard Bureau.

"Our mission is to give a second chance to America's youth to get them back on the right track. Working with Rotohog.com will help us accomplish this goal while also engaging Youth Challenge cadets and alums, as well as active and retired National Guard personnel and other supportive Americans in an entertaining competition."
