Washington's Armored Brigade Combat Team to convert to Stryker Brigade

Soldiers with P Troop, 4th Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment download Stryker armored vehicles and other military equipment from a railhead June 30, 2015 in Nowa Deba, Poland. The troop, based out of Vilsek, Germany, arrived with approximately 20 Stryker vehicles to begin several weeks of training with the Polish 6th Airborne Brigade. The Soldiers are participating in Atlantic Resolve, an ongoing multinational partnership.

Gov. Charlie Baker awarded the Soldier's Medal to Staff Sgt. Mark Welch, Massachusetts Army National Guard, on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the State House. Baker presented the award to Welch for his heroic actions during the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings.

North Carolina Airman earns hallowed patch from Air Force weapons school

U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. David Maddeford receives his Weapons School diploma from Col. Michael Drowley, Commandant, for USAF Weapons School, during a ceremony held June 27, 2015, in Las Vegas. Maddeford, a Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) with the 118th Air Support Operations Squadron, New London, North Carolina, was also one of five enlisted JTACs who made history by being the first enlisted graduates awarded the coveted graduate patch and enter into an elite group of “patch wearer” brethren.

Wyoming Vietnam veterans reunion welcomes home hundreds

More than 500 veterans of the "10,000-day war"  gathered at the four-day event to mark the 50th anniversary of our nation’s commitment of major ground forces, and the 40th anniversary of the evacuation of Saigon and the end of the Vietnam War. This was the first state-sponsored reunion.

Friday, March 27, at 0545, Rivera was sleepwalking and was found on the ground by Davidson along the side of Sunrise Highway, Route 27 on Long Island, New York.

Competitors in the 2015 Army National Guard Best Warrior Competition at Camp Williams, Utah, step off at the start of the ruck march event  June 23, 2015. The competition tests competitors on a variety of tactical and technical skills physically and mentally demanding three days as they vie to earn the title of Best Warrior and become the Soldier and Noncommissioned Officer of the Year for the Army Guard. The winners of the competition will then represent the Army Guard in the Department of the Army level Best Warrior Competition later this year.

Army Guard Best Warrior Competition tests Army Guard’s top Soldiers and NCOs
