Lake County resident Bridget Sargeant thanks Staff Sgt. Janneth Rendon and Spc. Steven Garivay for their assistance and patience while escorting her back to her home. Close to 100 California Guard military police assisted local authorities in escorting residents to make brief trips back to feed animals, grab medications or other important documents from the homes they had to evacuate because of wildfires. Some residents have been away from their homes for 10 days. The Guard members are part of the 870th Military Police Company.
