Connecticut Air Guard trains with TSA, State Police

U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Idaho Guard sends wildland firefighting crew to northern Idaho

Idaho National Guard Soldiers and Airmen are helping fight wildfires in northern Idaho. The newly assigned crewmembers of Task Force Timber Shield left Boise Aug. 4, 2021, to help the Idaho Department of Lands contain more than 15 significant wildland fires.

The Alaska Air National Guard rescued a hiker in distress near Glacier Pass Aug. 6, 2021. The 176th Wing and Guardian Angel team on board hoisted the hiker to an HH60G Pave Hawk helicopter for transport to a hospital.

37th IBCT, Hungarian Defence Forces train together

Alaska Air National Guard hoists injured hiker to safety

Pararescue personnel with the Alaska Air National Guard’s 210th Rescue Squadron used an HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter like this one in the search for 12 mountaineers stranded in poor weather on Klutlan Glacier southeast of Mt. Bona in Wrangell-St Elias National Park. The mountaineers were rescued June 1 after the 1st Battalion, 207th Aviation Regiment, dispatched an Alaska Army National Guard CH-47 Chinook with a paramedic from the 2nd Battalion, 211 Aviation Regiment.

Kentucky Guard crosses state lines for Patriot Press

Trucks from the 2113th Transportation Company of the Kentucky National Guard receive loads during annual training June 2-10, 2021. The unit transported 625,000 pounds of explosive ordinance between Paducah Kentucky, the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant in McAlester, Oklahoma, and the Naval Support Activity in Crane, Indiana, during Operation Patriot Press.
