Silicon Valley Air National Guard unit conducts over-water rescue for 1,016th life saved

A Guardian Angel pararescueman from the 131st Rescue Squadron guides a litter carrying a civilian patient onto an HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter during an over-water rescue mission, Jan. 17, 2017. Rescuers performed a similar maneuver Tuesday to save a man from a fishing vessel off the California coast.

Alaska Army Guard aviators support Operation Arctic Care; get critical training

The 146th recently replaced their M109 Howitzers with the M777 as part of the brigade’s transition to a Stryker brigade.

STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing strip) - Soldiers from Colorado National Guard 947th Engineer Company heavy-equipment operators are moving earth in the training area to develop a short takeoff, landing strip (STOL) for unmanned aircraft (UAS) flight training April 5, Hohenfels, Germany. The Joint Multinational Readiness Center's Troop Construction 2017 effort identifies and resources projects for military engineer construction units. The annual project's intent is to provide units Mission Essential Task List (METL) training opportunities while simultaneously enhancing the JMRC training capabilities.

Army Guard members take third place; make strong showing at Best Ranger competition

New York National Guard Marks 100th Anniversary of the Day the U.S. entered World War 1
