116th IBCT completes exercise ahead of Kosovo deployment

U.S. Army Soldiers with the Kentucky National Guard’s 1st Battalion, 149th Infantry Regiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 29th Infantry Division, conduct fire phobia training at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center, Hohenfels, Germany, Feb. 11, 2022. The training provided the Kentucky Citizen-Soldiers with the skills and confidence to respond to civil unrest where incendiary devices may be used.

116th IBCT trains on new squad designated marksman rifle

Virginia and Kentucky National Guard Soldiers assigned to the Staunton-based 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team conduct a live-fire range with the M110A1 squad designated marksman rifle during a new equipment training and fielding July 14, 2021, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. The Soldiers zeroed the new rifles before firing at targets up to 800 yards away.

116th IBCT Soldiers train on new recoilless rifle system

Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the Winchester-based 3rd Battalion, 116th Infantry Regiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, train on the M3E1 Multi-purpose Anti-armor Anti-personnel Weapon System June 4, 2021, at Maneuver Training Center Fort Pickett, Virginia. The training consisted of classroom learning and a live-fire range with the MAAWS, an 84-millimeter recoilless rifle.
