Massachusetts Guardsman Epitomizes Army ‘Be All You Can Be’

Luca Norian, an infantryman with the Massachusetts Army National Guard, enlisted in 2020 and attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Moore, Georgia, the summer before his senior year of high school. After graduation, he attended the Ranger Team Leader Initiative course, the Ranger Training Assessment Course, Ranger School, Airborne School and Pathfinder School.
Virginia Guardsman Named Top Enlisted Ranger School Graduate

Virginia Army National Guard Staff Sgt. Matthew Dawson graduates Ranger School as the enlisted honor graduate during a ceremony Jan. 27, 2023, at Fort Benning, Georgia. Dawson is assigned to the Lynchburg-based 1st Battalion, 116th Infantry Regiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team as a sniper team leader and completed Ranger School immediately following his deployment to the Horn of Africa.
