The linguists were in Oman with the Oregon National Guard's 1st Squadron, 82nd Cavalry Regiment and a platoon from the 125th Forward Support Company, 1st Battalion, 194th Field Artillery Regiment from Joint Base Lewis McCord, Wash., as part of a two week training exercise with Omani soldiers as a way to share knowledge and build greater diplomatic relations.

Alaska Army National Guard aviation unit trains on wildfire response

Army Sgt. Kevan J. The JPADS were dropped from an Air Force C-17 Globemaster III aircraft as part of a training exercise in the region.
