Massachusetts transportation company moves heavy equipment in Iraq

The MRAPs, were picked up from Forward Operating Base Warrior and delivered to Contingency Operating Base Speicher in support of the responsible drawdown of forces in Iraq. From COB Speicher, the MRAPs will go to Kuwait, from there, the Army will send them to the U.S. or to Afghanistan to support Operation Enduring Freedom.

Virginia Guard chaplains serve Soldiers in Gulf

Two Virginia National Guard chaplain support teams headed to Louisiana in late July to provide chaplain services to military personnel from all over the country assisting with recovery operations for the Deep Water Horizon oil spill. A chaplain support team consists of one chaplain and one chaplain’s assistant, and the teams provide chaplain support in the form of religious services, Bible study and counseling.
