Iowa ADT members donate blood to save Soldier’s life

Louisiana Guard conducts marriage enrichment retreat

Coins were given to Louisiana National Guardsmen and their spouses to remind them of the three important parts of a marriage: faith, hope and love. The marriage enrichment retreat was hosted by the Louisiana National Guard Chaplains Corps to help couples with relationship building in New Orleans, Sept. 10-12, 2010.

A new Persistent Surveillance System (PSS) begins its assent above Camp Julien Sept. 14, 2010, to provide the Afghan National Security Forces and International Security Assistance Force officials with an extra level of surveillance capability for security operations around Kabul, Afghanistan. The PSS, a floating aerostat (or blimp), has high-tech camera equipment able to provide 360 degree views of the city.

Air Force Staff Sgt. Damien Falconer is the lone pest management specialist in the Nevada Air National Guard. It is his job to eliminate all of the creepy-crawly nuisances on his base in Reno. The mice were used for illustrative purposes and were safely returned to a pet store.

Capt. Robert Killian of the Colorado Army National Guard competes in the 13.1-mile run during the first-ever Boulder half-ironman. Prior to the run, he completed a 56-mile bike ride, and a 1.2-mile swim. His time of 4 hours and 10 minutes qualified him to be the Army’s male athlete at the World Championship Ironman in Kona, Hawaii, Oct 9, 2010.
