Atlas Drop, an annual joint aerial-delivery exercise sponsored by U.S. Army Africa that brings together U.S. Army personnel with counterparts from the Ugandan Peoples Defense Forces, is designed to enhance the readiness of both countries’ resupply and logistical capabilities, and will consist of classroom instruction and a field training exercise.

Protector, was given a nickname Calico Wing by the wing's commander, Brig. 
Gen. Roy Uptegraff. The 313th AEW operates from an air base in Western Europe. 
Operation Unified Protector is part of the international response to the 
unrest in Libya and enforcement of United Nations Security Council Resolution

North Dakota Guard continues flood fight

The Ghanaian dignitaries are visiting the North Dakota National Guard as part of a State Partnership Program between the African country of Ghana and the North Dakota National Guard. Since 2003, the North Dakota National Guard has developed a professional relationship with Ghana as part of the National Guard State Partnership Program. This program aligns states with partner countries to encourage the development of economic, political and military ties.

Organization honors Guard children

Defense Department launches sexual assault helpline

sandbag assistance to create a flood levee barrier to rising water around his 
house.  As of April 14, more than 500 N.D. National Guard Airmen and Soldiers 
were conducting flood operations in North Dakota, with the vast majority in 
Cass County.
