The first groups of the Virginia National Guard’s Virginia Beach-based 329th Regional Support Group Headquarters return to Norfolk, Virginia, June 17, 2022, and reunite with loved ones, after supporting Operation Inherent Resolve at multiple locations Oct. 7, 2021, to June 6, 2022. The 329th’s mission was to provide mission command and base life support to Al Asad Air Base, Erbil Air Base and Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center in Iraq and Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.

Minnesota and Croatia have been partners under the Department of Defense National Guard Bureau State Partnership Program since 1996.
