Strong community partnerships bolster 173rd FW’s mission

Drivers and pedestrians in downtown Klamath Falls, Ore., are treated to a large mural depicting the mission at the 173rd Fighter Wing and its namesake, Lt. David R. Kingsley, who received the Medal of Honor for heroism and sacrifice during WWII that cost him his life. The mural is painted by a local artist, Chris Young, and adorns the side of the local VFW Post.

The UTNG 116th Engineer Company trained with members of Missouri Task Force One during search and extraction missions, shoring of unstable structures and breaching of structures to reach hypothetical patients.
