NY National Guard helicopter crews train to fight fires

New York Army National Guard helicopter pilots, crews and Soldiers with 3rd Assault Helicopter Battalion,142nd Aviation Regiment, 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 42nd Infantry Division, conduct water bucket training using UH-60M and UH-60L Black Hawk helicopters April 6, 2021. The training was at Camp Smith Training Site and over the Hudson River.

Montana National Guard partners with college for training

W.Va. Guardsman uses unique training to save neighbor's home

A wildland fire 1st Sgt. John Russell of the West Virginia National Guard's 249th Band was confronted with near his home in Winchester, Virginia, Nov. 19, 2020. Russell used basic wildland firefighting training he received with the West Virginia Division of Forestry (WVDOF) in October 2019 to help contain the fire and save a neighbor's home from potential damage.

Nevada Air Guard continues firefighting mission

Nebraska Guard assumes firefighter training stalled by virus
