South Carolina National Guard attends cyber boot camp

Twenty-Eight South Carolina Army National Guard Soldiers from units throughout the state participated in The Citadel Department of Defense Cyber Institute inaugural National Guard Cyber Boot Camp June 7-18, 2021, at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. The students learned basic to intermediate security concepts and how to conduct PenTest+ testing.
Wisconsin cavalry spur ride blends tough training, tradition

U.S. Army Sfc. Dustin Dearborn, a Vermont National Guard instructor at the Army Mountain Warfare School, is awarded the Soldier's Medal by Vermont Gov. Phil Scott June 18, 2021, at the Camp Ethan Allen Training Site in Jericho, Vt. Between Feb. 28 and March 1, 2020, Dearborn helped rescue two people at the Stowe Mountain ski area. One the military’s highest honors, the medal is awarded for acts of heroism not involving conflict with an armed enemy.

After climbing to 10,000 feet, free fall-qualified Soldiers used the Army’s new Advanced Ram Air Parachute System, which is not expected to reach full operational fielding until 2022.
