Fiscal '07 Air Guard promotions to lieutenant colonel, major announced

DENVER (AFPN) - The Air Reserve Personnel Center here announced today the results of the Fiscal 2007 Air National Guard Line and Nonline Lieutenant Colonel and Major Promotion Selection Boards. The board selected 588 officers for promotion from more than 759 considered.

The results of the boards are as follows:

To Lieutenant Colonel:
  • 363 line officers selected from 459 considered for a 79 percent select rate
  • 7 chaplains from 10 considered, 70 percent select rate
  • 1 dental corps officer from 1 considered, 100 percent select rate
  • 8 judge advocate general officers from 10 considered, 80 percent select rate
  • 4 medical corps officers from 7 considered, 57 percent select rate
  • 33 nurse corps officers from 42 considered, 79 percent select rate
  • 2 medical service corps officers from 3 considered, 67 percent select rate
  • 4 biomedical sciences corps officers from 5 considered, 80 percent select rate

To major:

  • 96 line officers from 105 considered, 91 percent select rate
  • 2 chaplains from 2 considered, 100 percent select rate
  • 4 dental corps officers from 4 considered, 100 percent select rate
  • 2 judge advocate general officers from 2 considered, 100 percent select rate
  • No medical corps officers considered
  • 6 nurse corps officers from 7 considered, 86 percent select rate
  • 3 medical service corps officers from 3 considered, 100 percent select rate
  • 2 biomedical sciences corps officers from 3 considered, 67 percent select rate

Promotion effective dates are based on the individual's time in grade. Projected effective dates will be posted on the ARPC Web site at http://arpc.afrc.af.mil by noon MST June 30.
