South Carolina Army National Guard aviation team works with Colombian army to prep aviation units for rescue missions

South Carolina Army National Guard Soldiers work with Colombian aviation military members to prepare a UH-60 Black Hawk to load onto a cargo aircraft. An aviation team of three subject matter experts from the S.C. Army National Guard was in Colombia April 1-7, 2014, in support of the State Partnership Program.

Sailors from Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigate USS Vandegrift (FFG 49) assist in the rescue of the Kaufman family with a sick infant via the ship's small boat as part of a joint U.S. Navy, Coast Guard and California Air National Guard rescue effort. The family and four Air National Guard pararescuemen were safely moved from the sailboat to the Vandegrift, and the ship is now sailing to San Diego.
