Live-fire drill helps sharpen infantry skills of New York National Guard members

New York Army National Guard Soldiers assigned to Company B 2nd Battalion 108th Infantry move onto the objective during a platoon live-fire exercise at Fort Drum, New York, on July 16, 2015. The training is part of an Exportable Combat Training Capability (XCTC) exercise, required the coordination of the entire platoon, and provided the unit's Soldiers with an opportunity to improve their combat techniques.

Washington's Armored Brigade Combat Team to convert to Stryker Brigade

Soldiers with P Troop, 4th Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment download Stryker armored vehicles and other military equipment from a railhead June 30, 2015 in Nowa Deba, Poland. The troop, based out of Vilsek, Germany, arrived with approximately 20 Stryker vehicles to begin several weeks of training with the Polish 6th Airborne Brigade. The Soldiers are participating in Atlantic Resolve, an ongoing multinational partnership.

More than 500 veterans of the "10,000-day war"  gathered at the four-day event to mark the 50th anniversary of our nation’s commitment of major ground forces, and the 40th anniversary of the evacuation of Saigon and the end of the Vietnam War. This was the first state-sponsored reunion.

Friday, March 27, at 0545, Rivera was sleepwalking and was found on the ground by Davidson along the side of Sunrise Highway, Route 27 on Long Island, New York.
