Utah National Guard Public Affairs
May 8, 2024 | 0:56
Utah Army National Guard Sgt. Luke Cloward of 214th Forward Support Company takes a moment to share a little about his experience. The California National Guard welcomed competitors from 7 states and territories as the host of the 2024 Region VII Best Warrior Competition May 5 - 10, 2024 at Camp San Luis Obispo. Guardsmen from across the region have earned the right to compete regionally after winning their state's or territory's Soldier or Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year Award. The regional level showcases the adaptiveness, resilience, and lethality of our forces, affirming the readiness of National Guard Citizen-Soldiers to meet the nations’ challenges. The winners will advance to the Army National Guard Best Warrior Competition this summer. These service members come from Guam, Hawaii, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Nevada, and California.
