U.S. Marines with Marine Operational Test and Evaluation Squadron 1 (VMX-1) conduct Exercise OBSIDIAN ICEBERG at Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton, California, July 31 to Aug. 1, 2023. OBSIDIAN ICEBERG is an Expeditionary Advanced Base Operation (EABO) exercise designed to develop and validate tactics, techniques, and procedures to effectively conduct customizable nodal EABOs that include rearming and refueling the F-35B Lightning II and the MV-22 Osprey during amphibious operations.
