Mike Minihan, commander of Air Force Mobility Command, awarded 51 Distinguished Flying Crosses to mobility Airmen for their actions in Operation Allies Refuge, during a ceremony at Joint Base Charleston, SC, Nov. 21, 2022. Operation Allies Refuge was the largest non-combatant evacuation in American history, during which the U.S. military led a multinational coalition to evacuate 124,000 Afghans in just 17 days.
