Tulsa Power Team Generator Deinstall After Hurricane Ian
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District
Oct. 9, 2022 | 1:39
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Tulsa District Temporary Power Team recently de-installed the last of the FEMA generators around Southwest Florida in the wake of Hurricane Ian. Over the course of two weeks the Power Team in conjunction with the 249th Prime Power Battalion conducted more than than 170 assessments on critical infrastructure, mainly assisted living facilities and water lift stations. Because of the the civilian power teams work on power transmission across the state the Power Team only had to install 11 generators in the local areas. Six of them were installed at local assisted living facilities and five were installed at lift stations. Even though only 11 generators were installed it turned in to a good thing for the residents because power was restored so quickly.
