Exercise Iron Sword is underway in Greece. This interoperability training allows a platoon from 2nd Battalion, 503rd Parachute Infantry Regiment to train alongside the Greek Army for 10 days. The Sky Soldiers started off the exercise with some fast rope and rappel training. Exercise Iron Sword is a joint training exercise between elements from 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment; 3rd Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment; and the 71st Air Mobile Brigade taking place at the Urban Warfare National Training Center in Kilkis, Greece from Nov. 18 to Nov. 26, 2019. The exercise is designed to strengthen interoperability between Greek and U.S. forces.
