Every year, Marines and family members fall victim to sexual assault and domestic violence. Only a handful exercise their right to speak to a Victims Legal Counsel (VLC). The VLC is a no cost uniformed attorney who does not work for the command, law enforcement, or anyone besides the victim. If you need representation, please call 645-4421 or visit building 5674 on Camp Foster, Marine Corps Base Camp Smedley D. Butler, Okinawa, Japan. If it is an emergency, please reach out to the Duty Victim Advocate 24 hours a day at 645-HOPE. (U.S. Marine Corps motion imagery by Lance Cpl. Kameron Herndon)
