Pennsylvania Army National Guard Supports Defender Europe 22

Soldiers with the 1st Battalion, 109th Field Artillery Regiment, 55th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, 28th Infantry Division, Pennsylvania Army National Guard, drive M109A6 Paladins, M992A2 Field Artillery Ammunition Supply Vehicles, and M572 Armored Mortar Carriers from the Army Prepositioned Stock  area to their cantonment area May 10, 2022, in Pabrade, Lithuania. The Soldiers deployed to Lithuania in May to support Defender Europe 22 and NATO exercise Flaming Thunder.

A CH-47 Chinook with a slingloaded M-777 155mm howitzer flies overhead as Soldiers with the Michigan Army National Guard’s 1st Battalion, 119th Field Artillery Regiment, use picks to remove inches of ice in order to set up their howitzers during a live fire exercise at Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training Center, Mich. Soldiers from the battalion conducted training on cold weather and slingload operations, transporting, setting up and firing their howitzers in temperatures that got down to -30 degrees
