NY Guard Space ops Experts Mentor at Space Command Exercise

National Guard Coordinates Transport of German Satellite

Television screens illuminate what would otherwise be a darkened underground facility at the National Guard Coordination Center, or NGCC, in Arlington, Virginia, in July 2020.  In May 2022, the NGCC, along with the operations directorates of various National Guard elements, were instrumental in the delivery of the German Ministry of Defense’s SARah satellite from Baltimore to Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, for its June 18 launch into space.

100th Missile Defense Brigade assists with MDA flight test

A ground-based Interceptor missile, an element of the nation’s Ground-based Midcourse Defense system, was launched from North Vandenberg in California Sept. 12, 2021, by Space Launch Delta 30 officials, the U.S. Missile Defense Agency, and U.S. Northern Command.
