1109th TASMG brings new life to battle-damaged helicopters

A Ch-47 Chinook helicopter hovers for the first time in two years at the Connecticut National Guard's 1109th Theater Aviation Support Maintenance Group in Groton, Conn., June 2, 2021. The helicopter was damaged after a hard landing while serving in Iraq and had been sitting in Kuwait since 2018 awaiting repairs.
