Ferrell Reynolds of the North Carolina National Guard's 1452nd Transportation Company. The trip gave Ingram the opportunity to visit and talk with guardsmen and to see for himself the health and welfare of Army National Guard soldiers in Kuwait.

During a trip to The Green Zone, a small strip of sidewalk located between two Army bases in Kabul, Afghanistan, members of the Tennessee National Guard's 230th Signal Company, encountered friendly local nationals with every step. They were washing vehicles, cementing crumbling walls and praying.

The Soldiers noticed the boy had an injured arm while conducting a patrol in the Gor Teppa area of Kunduz province, Afghanistan, with the Afghan National Police. The 37th IBCT is deployed to northern Afghanistan in support of the International Security Assistance Force in an effort to build ANP capacity.
