Vermont Army Guard hosts mountain warfare course in Djibouti

U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Elijah Amendola, 1-102nd Infantry Regiment (Mountain), Task Force Iron Gray, Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), assists a French service member with the 5th Overseas Interarms Regiment (5e RIAOM) on fixed rope techniques at the Arta Range Complex, Djibouti, Dec. 15, 2021. Five instructors from the U.S. Army Mountain Warfare School in Jericho, Vermont, taught a five-day Joint Expeditionary Mountain Warfare Course on basic military mountaineering skills to French service members in Djibouti to strengthen the relationships among the international forces working together in the region.

Nebraska Air Guard participates in Ample Strike exercise

107th midway through Atlantic Resolve NATO deployment

A Soldier with the Wisconsin Army National Guard’s 107th Maintenance Company demonstrates proper use of an M17 pistol to Polish troops during the unit’s mobilization to Eastern Europe as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve. The 107th mobilized in May to provide area maintenance support across Poland, Romania and Lithuania.

29th ID Soldiers' resilience proves useful in escort mission

WING demonstrates rapid deployment to Baltic region

A U.S. Air Force loadmaster with the 352d Special Operations Wing guides a U.S. Army Soldier with 1st Battalion, 121st Field Artillery Regiment, while off-loading an M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System during a bilateral exercise at a highway landing zone in Gotland, Sweden, Oct. 23, 2021. This bilateral demonstration underscores, for the first time, the ability of Swedish and U.S. Forces to quickly employ long-range precision fires across the theater in a time and place of our choosing, while developing the ability to employ flexible capabilities with partners and allies in the Baltic Sea region.
