Illinois Guard members train Suriname military in security techniques

Air Force Master Sgt. This training is part of exercise New Horizons Suriname 2011. Over 600 U.S. military personnel and 50 Surinamese military personnel will participate in the exercise at various times over a three month period.

Guard, Reserve Soldiers partner with Ghanaians for MEDFLAG 11

Army Lt. Col. Rodney Boyd, officer-in-charge of the U.S. MEDFLAG forces, is interviewed by local Ghanaian media following the exercise opening ceremony. The exercise will strengthen the relationship between the U.S. and Ghana through 10 days of collaborative training and sharing of medical expertise, as well as joint humanitarian civilian assistance in local communities.

Army Guard helicopter crash kills crew
