South Carolina Guard helps U.S., Saudi forces extend hands in exercise

Soldiers from Third Army, the South Carolina  Army National Guard and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Royal Land Forces come  together to celebrate the official beginning of Exercise Friendship Two. The  exercise is one in a series of partnership training opportunities Third Army  has had with the Royal Saudi Land Forces since 2004.

Members of the 196th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, South Dakota Army National Guard's Movement Team convoy several passengers to a different camp during a mission in Kabul. The team provides transportation for servicemembers, coalition forces and civilians wanting to conduct business at other camps throughout the Kabul Base Cluster.

Waldon and Corbett followed in their father's  footsteps -- retired Army Staff Sgt. Garry Waldon Sr. -- by serving in the Iowa  Army National Guard. TF Archer and TF Redhorse belong to the 34th Infantry  Division’s 2nd Brigade Combat Team.

Facilities such as the marketplace, which is populated with Afghan role players to make the training as realistic as possible, make Muscatatuck an ideal training site for the Foreign Service Institute.
