West Virginia Guard father, son cross paths while deployed

The two West Virginia Army National Guard members are deployed in support of Operation Spartan Shield and, although assigned to different units, their deployment timelines overlap by nearly two months, allowing for a long-awaited reunion.
SD Guard Soldiers perform key mission in East Africa

Wisconsin Guard medevac unit answers the call in Middle East

Wisconsin Army National Guard members of the West Bend-based Detachment 1, Company G, 2nd Battalion, 104th Aviation Regiment at a base in the Operation Spartan Shield area of operations. Wisconsin troops have been assigned to locations in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Syria for a medevac mission in the U.S. Central Command theater of operations.
