North Carolina unit joins exercise Anakonda 16 in Poland

AN16 is a Polish national exercise that seeks to train, exercise and integrate Polish national command and force structures into an allied, joint and multinational environment.

Michigan field artillery's 'Blackjacks' training in Latvia

Brice Masterson, and Sgt. 1st Class Charles Smith, 1st Battalion, 119th Field Artillery, Michigan Army National Guard, set up the M67 GLPS, gun laying and positioning system, on April 17, 2016, as part of exercise Summer Shield XIII, at Adazi Training Center, Latvia. Soldiers of the 1-119th FA deployed to Latvia for a multinational fires and effects training exercise. Latvia and Michigan have trained together through the State Partnership Program for 24 years.

40th Combat Aviation Brigade and USS Ponce conduct interoperability training exercise

The exercise tested the ability of 40th CAB and the USS Ponce to work together to perform stability operations in the surrounding region.
