ARNG Acting Director's Holiday Message

By Courtesy Story

The Army National Guard has a tremendous legacy of 374 years of service to this country and its ideals.  We are always ready and always there, at all times of the year.

Our brave Citizen Soldiers selflessly serve every day, every week, and every month.  Away from Families, home, and the traditions that mark this time of year, our Citizen Soldiers have answered the Nation's call in extraordinary times, in extraordinary circumstances, and with extraordinary courage and resilience.

As we begin this holiday season, whether you are a Soldier, spouse, Family member, DA civilian, contractor, veteran, or supporter of the Guard, make sure you pause to enjoy Family, friends, and the precious moments this time of year brings.  May you have a safe and wonderful Christmas and a very happy New Year.

- Major General Raymond W. Carpenter
