On behalf of Gen. Craig R. McKinley, Chief, National Guard Bureau and Chief Master Sgt. Denise Jelinski-Hall, Senior Enlisted Leader for the National Guard Bureau

During this special time of year we want to take a moment to recognize the service and sacrifice made by our National Guard members and their families.

Many of us will enjoy the holidays surrounded by family and friends while others will celebrate far from home.

Let us take a moment to remember our brothers and sisters in uniform, especially our wounded warriors and those who have sacrificed so much.

It is because of your service and commitment that millions of Americans will celebrate the holidays in freedom and in peace.

Remember, the most precious resource is our people - thank you for your continued care of our Citizen Warriors.

It is an honor and privilege to serve alongside our nations heroes.

The very best to you and your families for a blessed and joyous holiday season.

Happy New Year!
