Soldiers encouraged to maintain medical readiness

By Army Col. Zach Wheeler Medical Capabilities Integration Center

WASHINGTON, - Do you think wounded soldiers are concerned if the medical personnel providing them care are from the Army Reserve or National Guard?

The obvious answer is no, what they care about is the skill and dedication of these caregivers.
With that said it is imperative that each and every reservist maintain and improve their clinical and military skills.

Since members of the reserve components have limited training time, other options are required for personal development.

To assist all soldiers, including reservist, the Army has developed a number of Warfighter Forums (WfF). These forums provide "warfighter's a link to a new dimension of collaboration and information sharing with the aim of learning faster and adapting more rapidly than our adversaries."

The Army Medical Department (AMEDD) Center and School is working hard to provide such resources to our Soldiers.

A great resource is the Medical Warfighter Forum (MedWfF), which supplies "the information and knowledge you need to help perform your job more effectively. Quick access to Clinical Practice Guidelines, UpToDate Continuing Medical Education Army enterprise subscription, Lessons Learned, Deployment Resources and collaborative technology," according to the Website.

Reservists have proven their capabilities in all conflicts and resources, such as the Medical Warfighter Forum, will only serve to better these capabilities. This site is available through the AMEDD Center and school homepage athttp://www.cs.amedd.army.mil/.
