Guard Your Health Launches #ClassIRecipes video series and Digital Drill Deck

By Guard Your Health Army National Guard Chief Surgeon’s Office

ARLINGTON, Va. - Keeping your health-focused New Year's resolutions is about to get easier. Guard Your Health, a health and wellness campaign for Army National Guard Soldiers and their families, recently launched two new resources to help Soldiers and their families stay healthy: the digital Drill Deck and #ClassIRecipes video series. These resources will help Soldiers stay mission ready and achieve their health and fitness goals.

With workouts that can be done anywhere, without any equipment, the digital Drill Deck is perfect for Soldiers who don't have access to a gym or are looking to stay fit on the go. Soldiers can access the Drill Deck via Guard Your Health's website on their mobile device. After clicking the link, Soldiers can select workouts that target their upper body, lower body, core, or full-body. Soldiers can also choose the intensity of their workout and the length of time they would like to exercise. With the digital Drill Deck, Soldiers can easily meet their daily PT goals.

Guard Your Health knows that staying fit requires more than just exercise. Proper nutrition is key to making sure Soldiers are operating at peak performance. Guard Your Health's #ClassIRecipes series now includes eye-catching recipe videos that demonstrate how to prepare snacks and meals that are both healthy and delicious. New recipes will be shared every few weeks and will be hosted on Guard Your Health's website. Get started with the Turkey Meatball Bake and Chocolate Oat Clusters. All #ClassIRecipes include written instructions and an ingredient list to make it easy for Soldiers to cook budget-friendly, nutritious meals.

The drill deck and recipe videos aim to make fitness and nutrition goals easier to accomplish and more accessible for Soldiers and their families. As you work off those holiday pounds, Guard Your Health is here to help make fitness and nutrition a priority for the new year.
