CMSgt Joshua D. Moore is the fourteenth Command Chief Master Sergeant of the Air National Guard. He represents the highest level of enlisted leadership and is the principal advisor to the Director of the Air National Guard. In this role, he is directly responsible for all matters influencing the health, morale, welfare, job satisfaction, discipline, utilization, family support, quality of life, and professional development of more than 107,700 Air Guard members. In addition, he offers the enlisted perspective on key defense initiatives such as the State Partnership Program, which supports 105 unique security partnerships involving 115 nations across the globe. In addition, he is a principal member of the Air Force Senior Enlisted Leader Council, a body of senior leaders responsible for shaping enlisted policies and programs for Airmen assigned across all major Air Force commands as well as the Department of Defense's geographic and functional combatant commands.
Chief Moore entered the Air Force in December of 1995 as a Security Police Specialist. Following basic military training, he attended the Security Police Academy and graduated in May 1996 before assignment to missile security at Francis E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming. In November 2000 he transitioned to the Wyoming Air National Guard. Throughout his career, Chief Moore has performed duties in security forces, knowledge operations, personnel, cyber systems operations, and deployed in support of Operation SOUTHERN WATCH. In addition, he has served as the Command Chief of the Wyoming Air National Guard and with the Air National Guard Enlisted Field Advisory Council as a Regional Representative, Vice Chair, and Chair. Prior to his current position, the chief master sergeant was the Command Senior Enlisted Leader, Wyoming National Guard, Cheyenne.
