Vigilant Guard 2010

Vigilant Guard is an exercise program sponsored by U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) in conjunction with the National Guard Bureau (NGB). The program provides State National Guard Headquarters and supporting units with an opportunity to improve command / control and operational relationships with civilian and military partners at the local, state, regional and national levels.

Vigilant Guard Maryland

The Maryland National Guard Joint Force Headquarters, Joint Task Force and operational units participate in exercise Vigilant Guard in order to improve command and control and operational relationships with internal military and external civilian and military partners against homeland security threats.

Vigilant Guard Alaska

Exercise Alaska VG 10 is a full scale, statewide exercise sponsored by the state of Alaska and designed to ensure effective coordination between local, state, private sector, non-governmental organizations and federal partners. Alaska VG10 will focus on the response to a disruption of the delivery of supplies and services following a seismic event in the Anchorage area.

Vigilant Guard Guam

Vigilant Guard Guam is an exercise hosted by Guam with participation from:

  • Hawaii
  • Nevada
  • Arizona
  • California
  • Alaska
  • Wyoming

Maryland National Guard Pfc.
