What is Go SLO?

Go SLO stands for Safes, Locks, or Outside the home.

  • Safes: Store firearms in a gun safe or locked cabinet.
  • Locks: Use trigger locks or cable locks.
  • Outside the home: Temporarily store firearms with a trusted person or at a recommended installation.

Go SLO helps create time and distance between distress and lethal means.

U.S. Marines with 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, 2nd LAR Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, 3rd LAR Battalion, 1st Marine Division, and 4th LAR Battalion, 4th Marine Division, and Australian Army forces, participate in an LAV range during the 2024 Bushmaster Challenge at Range 500, Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California, Oct. 2, 2024.
