What is Go SLO?

Go SLO stands for Safes, Locks, or Outside the home.

  • Safes: Store firearms in a gun safe or locked cabinet.
  • Locks: Use trigger locks or cable locks.

The Washington National Guard conducted its Command Sergeant Major change of responsibility on June 14, 2024 at Camp Murray, WA. On this day, Command Sgt. Maj. Eric Honeycutt relinquished his responsibility and authority to incoming Command Sgt. Maj. Carter Richardson. Washington State’s Command Sergeant Major carries out policies, coaches, mentors, and advocates for all current and future enlisted leaders within the organization. In addition, they enforce standards of performance, appearance and conduct of enlisted personnel along with advising the commander and staff directorates in matters pertaining to enlisted service members. Following the change of responsibility, a retirement ceremony was held for Command Sgt. Maj. Eric Honeycutt to honor his 34 years of dedicated and faithful service to our country.
