What is Go SLO?

Go SLO stands for Safes, Locks, or Outside the home.

  • Safes: Store firearms in a gun safe or locked cabinet.
  • Locks: Use trigger locks or cable locks.
  • Outside the home: Temporarily store firearms with a trusted person or at a recommended installation.

U.S. Marines with 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, use the Marine Corps Tactical Instrumentation Systems (MCTIS) during a Marine Air-Ground Task Force Warfighting Exercise as part of Service Level Training Exercise 2-24 at Range 220, Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California, Feb. 22, 2024. MWX is the culminating event of SLTE 2-24, that improves U.S. and allied service members' operational capabilities and lethality as a MAGTF. The MCTIS training immerses Marines in real-world situations and carefully evaluates their decisions and actions while detectors give each Marine tailored data and playback during the battle simulation and the After-Action Reviews.
