173rd Airborne Brigade
Oct. 17, 2023 | 1:49
U.S. Army paratroopers assigned to the 173rd Airborne Brigade train on various weapons systems, including the M2 Browning, M249, M240, and MK19, in preparation for the Expert Soldier and Expert Infantryman Badge (E2B), Oct. 17, 2023, on Caserma Del Din, Vicenza, Italy.

The Expert Soldier and Expert Infantryman Badge (E2B) tests U.S. Army Soldiers’ mastery of warrior tasks and are a fundamental part of the Army’s method of building lethal, cohesive teams and expert leaders through difficult, realistic training. Over 1,400 Soldiers from units across Europe, including service members from 7 European countries are training for expert badges on Caserma Del Din, Vicenza, Italy.

The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army's Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deployable forces to the United States European, African, and Central Command areas of responsibility. Forward deployed across Italy and Germany, the brigade routinely trains alongside NATO allies and partners to build partnerships and strengthen the alliance.
