The William Beaumont Army Medical Center hosted the Norwegian Ruck March at Fort Bliss’ Rod and Gun Club, Sept. 30, 2022. More than 100 Soldiers around the installation participated in the 18.6 mile event in an attempt to earn the foreign service badge. The ruck march promotes not only physical readiness but also pushes Soldiers to embody the warrior ethos.

Suggested lead: Some people are born to go the extra mile. One Soldier stationed in White Sands didn't mind stepping off for a grueling ruck march in the middle of the night. In fact, he did it with a smile on his face.
