110th Civil Engineers install manhole during Japan DFT
110th Wing
June 22, 2022 | 1:55
Members of the Michigan Air National Guard's 110th Civil Engineer Squadron, Battle Creek Air National Guard Base, install a manhole unit using heavy equipment at the Tama Hills Recreational Area, a U.S. Armed Forces recreational area near Yokota Air Base, Japan, June 22, 2022. Members of the 110th CES participated in a Deployment for Training (DFT) exercise to renovate the Boy Scout camp located at the recreational area.

The DFT program provides valuable training opportunities normally not available in home station scenarios, allowing Airmen to train on equipment they will likely operate during a deployment, but might not have access to on their home base.
