Airman 1st Class Mark Solo: 110th Security Forces

Airman 1st Class Mark Solo is a Security Forces specialist assigned to the 110th Security Forces Squadron, Battle Creek Air National Guard Base, Mich. While participating in "shoot-move-communicate" drills during his unit's drill weekend, Oct. 26, 2019, Solo talked about why he chose the Security Forces career field.

"I wanted something that was active and challenging in a way...I picked Security Forces," he said. "They have very high standards, and I am continually pushed to improve upon my standards to meet theirs."

Solo was recently recognized as an outstanding future leader with the Battle Creek Chamber of Commerce's Gen. Omar Bradley Award (U.S. National Guard video by Airman 1st Class Ryan Bishop/released).
