What is Go SLO?

Go SLO stands for Safes, Locks, or Outside the home.

  • Safes: Store firearms in a gun safe or locked cabinet.
  • Locks: Use trigger locks or cable locks.
  • Outside the home: Temporarily store firearms with a trusted person or at a recommended installation.

Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service M4 Night Qualification
Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve

Members of the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service, 2nd School conducted M4 nighttime range operations, to include practicing the proper holding, aiming, and firing of a M4 rifle. 2nd School members are required to qualify at night on the M4 rifle as part of their graduation prerequisites. Safety rules were also reiterated to include, treating every weapon as if it was loaded, never pointing the weapon at anything that the firer does not intend to shoot, keeping the trigger finger straight and off the trigger until ready to fire, and keeping the weapon on safe until intended to fire. Coalition Forces assisted CTS instructors with training members on numerous marksmanship techniques as well as the safety brief. (U.S. Army video by Sgt. Rodney Roldan)
