What is Go SLO?

Go SLO stands for Safes, Locks, or Outside the home.

  • Safes: Store firearms in a gun safe or locked cabinet.
  • Locks: Use trigger locks or cable locks.

U.S. Marines with Headquarters and Support Battalion, Marine Corps Installations West, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, participate in a wreath-laying ceremony honoring former U.S. President Ronald Reagan at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley, Calif., Feb. 6, 2025. Participating in the ceremony were Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Nick I. Brown, commanding general of MCIWEST, MCB Camp Pendleton; Frederick J. Ryan Jr., chairman of the board of trustees of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute; Kevin McCarthy, 55th Speaker of the United States House of Representatives; U.S. Navy Chaplain Lt. Cmdr. Ed Handley; and David Trulio, president and CEO of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute. The ceremony is an annual event to commemorate the life and legacy of President Reagan and is held on his birthday, by presidential declaration, since his death in 2004.
