B-roll: US, Kenya Defense Forces test communications interoperability during Justified Accord 2026
U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa
March 2, 2026 | 0:57
U.S. Army Sgt. Gabriel Abreu, an information technology specialist assigned to the 207th Military Intelligence Brigade, works alongside Kenya Defence Forces radio operators to set up an OE-254 antenna and establish field communications during a Justified Accord 2026 communications exercise at Bearing Point 2, Laresoro, Kenya, March 3, 2026. The communications setup enabled U.S. and KDF to test and strengthen interoperable radio systems, ensuring reliable coordination during multinational humanitarian assistance and crisis response operations.

JA26 increases multinational interoperability in support of humanitarian assistance and crisis response, prepares regional partners for missions with the United Nations and African Union, and builds readiness for the U.S. joint force. Led by SETAF-AF and hosted in Djibouti, Kenya, and Tanzania, the exercise brings together personnel from approximately 15 nations and is U.S. Africa Command’s largest exercise in East Africa.
