Robert Kennedy, first sergeant for Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, talks about the Expert Soldier Badge (ESB) and Expert Infantry Badge (EIB) in the Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, Sept. 19, 2025. The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army's Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deployable forces to the U.S. European, African and Central Command areas of responsibility.
